Charles Hahn is the founder of Southlake Public Affairs. He currently works as a consultant and helps coach legislators, non-profit organizations and business entrepreneurs on the strategies and techniques needed to establish their strategic vision, hire the right team, and form the systems needed to achieve their goals. Hahn also spends his time as a political, public and government affairs consultant for several organizations and elected officials. Hahn worked as a skilled leader and political strategist in California. With nearly two decades of experience at every level in government, Hahn is well versed in public policy, management, and political campaigns. Hahn has a long history of public service and has worked for governors, legislators and state agencies. He served as California’s Chief Assistant Secretary of State where he was responsible for directing an agency with more than 400 state employees. Previously, Hahn was the Chief of Staff to California State Senate Leader, Dave Cogdill, and served as the Director of the Assembly Minority Office of Member Services under now US House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy. In 2010, Hahn worked to restructure the state’s Republican Party operation. He has served there as the Interim Chief Operating Officer and Political Operations Director. Hahn’s background in management has attracted many to call on his services to turn struggling organizations around. He has managed all facets of the fundraising, communications, technology, community relations, financial affairs and compliance operations. Hahn is well versed in directing and supervising public relations staffs and implementing effective media relations campaigns, including direct mail initiatives and outreach events. Hahn is also experienced in training these teams to serve constituents and clients at a higher and more effective level. Raised in Healdsburg, California, Hahn graduated from California State University – Sacramento with degrees in government and economics.
